Superdrug Offices – London

Superdrug Offices – London

Morgan Lovell has designed the new offices of health and beauty retailer Superdrug, located in London, England.

From the second you walk into the office, we wanted clients and colleagues to know that they’re somewhere special. That’s why the formal reception was swapped for a relaxed concierge desk, and the Superdrug logo was used as a feature two metre star cutout (in Superdrug pink, of course).

THREADLESS - CHICAGO

THREADLESS - CHICAGO

Staking its claim in one of the coolest locations in the West Loop, Threadless’s new home on the top floor of Morgan Manufacturing bares its artistic soul from the inside out. The Partners by Design team embraced the beautiful bones of the old industrial warehouse to ensure unobstructed views and a plethora of natural light. The shared workspace and group seating encourages collaboration between employees at every level, and the choice to construct no fixed offices emboldens communication and visioning amongst the newest hires, the company founders, and everyone in between. Honoring the creative mindset of both its workers and its customers, the office itself is a constantly-evolving blank canvas—from the DIY sticker-bombed bathroom to the Brian Killer commissioned roof deck water tower, the space is alive with a diversity of talent, including work from street artists like SickFisher, Elloo, Lauren Asta, and JunkYard.

While the new headquarters houses a variety of opportunities for creative production, with a photography studio, maker lab, and a proprietary fabric printing process, it also inspires mixed-used elements that transition seamlessly from work-day to after-hours. The reception desk doubles as a bar with four kinds of beer on tap, there’s a stage for bands and performance events that serves as a collaboration zone and work space during the day, and Threadless is able to actively engage their commitment to imagination and ingenuity by hosting events for neighborhood artists and the local creative community.

We created a showroom area where the latest collection is on display. The café with a full-size bookshelf serves as a casual meeting area for staff and visitors. The staff can also use the powder room for brainstorming and focused work. The office space has various themes, according to the brands they work for. Kolon Sport has high contrast in colour and strong linear design so that the edgy brand image is obvious.
