Comcast’s Silicon Valley Innovation Center – Sunnyvale

Blitz Architecture + Interiors has designed the new offices of telecommunications company Comcast, located in Sunnyvale, California.

Located in the Moffett Towers, a Class-A Office and R&D complex in Sunnyvale, Comcast’s Silicon Valley Innovation Center (SVIC) rapidly expanded from their existing space into the second floor of an adjacent building. The innovation and development center is designed as a development and collaboration space to build products that change how people connect to entertainment, and information bringing together the best in media and technology.. Comcast worked with Blitz to create a space that would carry over the previous project’s themes of open office space and interactive collaborative zones while creating a uniquely curated space for the development teams.

Spotify Offices – London

Spotify Offices – London

Tétris has designed the new offices of digital music service Spotify, located in London, England.

With Spotify growing at a rapid rate the company needed a larger office to accommodate more staff. Having already refurbished Spotify’s first London office, we were perfectly placed to provide a Cat B fit out for their new base in Soho.

Since the brand has evolved since the last refurbishment, our designer needed to create an innovative look and feel for their new office. Inspired by Spotify’s HQ in Stockholm – with a London twist – our team designed an eclectic space with sumptuous velvet, leather and wood. Our design also incorporated an extensive AV component, including a sound system throughout the office.

Monotype's New Office Pays Tribute To 750 Different Fonts

Monotype's New Office Pays Tribute To 750 Different Fonts

Most of us can't get through a day without reading something in Helvetica or Times New Roman. Monotype, the global type foundry that controls those and many other iconic fonts, recently completed its new London office—and its products took on a very visible architectural role.

Ben Adams Architects designed the U.K. headquarters—one of 15 scattered across the world—with the firm's craft in mind. Inside the office, you're greeted with letters—lots and lots of letters. Along with selections of the firm's famous fonts, like Helvetica, Gill Sans, and Times New Roman, letters from Monotype's 20,000-font-strong archive dot its walls.

When employees and visitors enter the 3,500-square-foot Shoreditch office, they're welcomed by a giant letter "M," a motif which follows them around the office. Designed to flexibly fit 32 workstations as well as collaborative spaces, the office's central feature is a birch plywood tunnel etched with 1,500 different "M" logos in 750 different typefaces from the company's robust archives.
