OMG: Self Parking Chairs!

Nissan have designed these self-parking office chairs, to show-off what the automaker’s intelligent parking assist technology can really do. The chairs, which are modified Okamura chairs, are actually tracked using motion cameras on the walls, and are simultaneously controlled via Wi-Fi. All you have to do to activate them is clap, and the chairs re-arrange themselves back into their desk location.

Knoll Reports Strong Operating Margins and Profits

Knoll, Inc. (KNL) today announced results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2015. Net sales were $305.7 million for the fourth quarter, an increase of 6.7%, or 8.4% on a constant currency basis, from the fourth quarter of 2014. Operating profit for the quarter increased to $21.8 million, or 9.2%, when compared to operating profit of $20.0 million for the fourth quarter of 2014. Adjusted operating profit for the quarter was $33.9 million, an increase of $6.2 million, or 22.4%, from the fourth quarter of 2014.
