Ethnicraft, the Belgian lifestyle brand, announced the opening of their first North American showroom in Chicago, IL. Located in the Merchandise Mart, the permanent, 2,500 square-foot space in suite 322 demonstrates the brand’s product versatility for both office and hospitality environments.

“Our first showroom in the United States solidifies Ethnicraft’s presence in the American contract market. Being a hub for the industry, Chicago was a logical decision for Ethnicraft to plant roots and further connect with the design community in Chicago and the US.” says Anthony Vanderkeilen, Managing Director of the Ethnicraft Contract department.

For over 25 years, Ethnicraft has specialized in creating contemporary and timeless furniture, accessories, and furnishings. The Chicago showroom illustrates the brand’s unique know-how and craftsmanship by showcasing a range of collections and products in a way that celebrates the combination of styles and influences.

With a focus on workplace, Ethnicraft’s showroom stands out from conventional office furniture, moving away from traditional office design, often cold and impersonal. The showroom is divided into four zones presenting the different areas relevant to office and hospitality projects. The space highlights Ethnicraft’s solutions for the contract market and the versatility of the products in different workplace settings such as meeting rooms, lounge areas, private offices, and open workspaces.

Today, organizations are expected to have strategies in place that allow flexibility between different work locations. Ethnicraft partners with architects and hospitality professionals to accommodate these new working environments, ensuring a seamless transition from one to the other. The results are warm and functional products created to make life at work easier, built from natural materials such as oak, teak, linen, and leather. Designs range from desks and tables to storage, seating, and accent tables that offer the best options for flexible working while striking a balance between ergonomic and inspiring design.

Open by appointment, the showroom is managed by Emily Mattucci, who recently joined the US sales team as Sales Manager. She has over six years of experience in sales management, including Showroom Manager and Regional Sales Coordinator for Knoll.
