Landscape Forms Reimagines the Sun Shade with Disc, Peak and Stretch

Landscape Forms is introducing an innovative new line of three cast-aluminum sun shades, Disc, Peak and Stretch. Designed in conjunction with Scott Klinker through a distinctly architectural lens, these shades offer new creative possibilities for landscape architects and can integrate seamlessly into a variety of design attitudes.

Inspired by the simple elegance of post and beam construction, Landscape Forms’ new shades reimagine the traditional parasol by drawing from the unique and the familiar, the abstract and the traditional. “This striking new line of shades is emblematic of how we’re leading new category growth through unparalleled levels of design and craftsmanship,” asserts Landscape Forms CEO, Margie Simmons.

Built from 100% cast and extruded aluminum, the shades’ confidence-inspiring forms are complemented by clean, open interiors unobstructed by any visible hardware, creating a beautifully simple and intuitive shelter experience. "Our advanced casting technology allowed us to achieve a really unique balance of structural strength and sculptural elegance, allowing these shades to complement a wide range of architectural styles,” says the manufacturer’s Chief Creative Officer, Kirt Martin.
