Office Environment Co. is a Louisville-based independent office products and commercial office furniture company. The company is also a Haworth Preferred Dealer.

Kerr Office Group currently has locations in Elizabethtown, Campbellsville and Hopkinsville, and is a dealer for Jasper Desk, Groupe Lacasse, Mayline Martin, along with being a OFUSA dealer.

The joint announcement was made by Kerr Office Group Inc. President Brian Kerr and Office Environment Co. President Tricia Burke.

Under the terms of the agreement and plan of merger, Kerr Office Group will purchase the assets and goodwill of Office Environment Co.

“The merger with Office Environment Co. significantly expands Kerr Office Group’s existing presence within Kentucky,” Kerr said in a news release. “In addition to gaining entry into the Louisville, Kentucky market, Office Environment Co. is a Haworth dealer that will provide an excellent platform upon which to grow our contract furniture business throughout Kentucky.”

He added with the merger, Office Environment Co. customers will gain an even broader array of services.

“Office Environment Co. is a well-established dealership with competitive prices that shares our commitment to our clients and the communities we serve,” said Ed McCoy, Kerr Office Group’s vice president of sales. “We are pleased to be able to partner with them and continue to build on their history that started in 1907.”

Burke said she is excited for opportunities the merger will give customers and employees.

“We will be an even stronger independent dealer with the additional capabilities that this merger brings us,” Burke said in the release. “As we all know, the only constant is change. I feel very positive about this new direction.”

Integration of both companies is expected to take place over three months.
