When considering the design of its Chicago headquarters and practice office, Grant Thornton LLP, the world’s sixth largest accounting and advisory firm, looked to VOA, now Stantec to provide full interior design services, architectural services and workplace strategy solutions. They chose VOA now Stantec because they wanted to work with a firm who understood and could execute their vision of creating a ‘wow’
space for their employees and guests.
The new 156,000 square foot headquarters enjoys street presence, which is unique for a professional services firm in Downtown Chicago, and offers distinct opportunities to feature their global brand identity and corporate colors. Upon entry, staff and visitors are welcomed into a 30 foot atrium which creates an inviting and visually interactive experience that helps carry the global brand message throughout the space.
The five-story fit out houses the executive suites, the Chicago practice office and a 17,000 sf conference center. The project, designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, was completed October of 2015.
